Gateway Disc Sports - Warrior Update
11/6/2008 - We ran some S plastic Warriors on Monday, and E plastic on Tuesday of the 3rd tooling, and initial testing results a great with the S being just about dead straight when thrown hard and slightly over stable when you back off on it. The E are noticeably more over stable as should be expected but very controllable. They are similar in fade to the old Element-X, but have more resistance to turn. With the thinner flight plate and beefier nose they are much more gyroscopic, giving them MUCH longer spin which results in more glide and penetration, specifically at the end of the flight. The Element-X had a .087 thick flight plate and the Warrior is now .068. What this means is about 20 grams have been transferred from the flight plate to the rim in a 180 gram disc, which is a significantly huge change in weight distribution!
